Home January July September Colchicum

Why grow plants from seeds?

We find it an excellent way of producing rare and unusual plants at a fraction of the cost of buying a fully grown specimen. Just one fritillary bulb, for example, can cost 3.00 but a packet of seed costing only 2.00 will give you a lovely display in the garden in about 3 years.

We specialise in fresh seed from really good garden plants and we try to provide something just that bit different. The emphasis is on 'fresh' seed as this really does help in germination and so we produce 3 lists a year in January, July and September.

Each year our catalogue will vary slightly as we are constantly looking for something new and exciting and we are able to offer a wide range of 'bulbous' plants including Fritillaria, Colchicum, Muscari, Cyclamen, Galanthus, Bellevalia, Crocus, Gladiolus, Tulipa, Romulea and Allium.

Herbaceous plants include Lathyrus, Delphinium, Dicentra, Aquilegia, Aconitum, Helleborus, Alcea, Trillium, Disporum, Polygonatum, Campanula and Codonopsis.

We are a small company and are only able to do mail order. We do send seed all over the world. We can provide nursery quantities of some items so please do ask.

We also offer rare and interesting garden Colchicum corms. If you would like a list of these please let us know. The list is available in July and we despatch in August.
